DESCRIPTION

This program critically examines the potential role and value of Google search results in the legal research process. Using a practical problem solving approach, the program will tackle a number of hypotheticals using a variety of sources to illustrate how the tool can potentially provide relevant search results together with cost and time saving value.  

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

To sharpen the ability to recognize, critically evaluate, and consider the potential value of Google legal research tools when tackling a research issue. 

 

CLE CREDITS

PA  | 1.0 Substantive Credits    
This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 1.0 hours of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit and 0 hours of ethics, professionalism or substance abuse CLE credit. 

NJ | 1.2 Total Credits
This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 1.2 hours of total CLE credit. Of these 0 qualify as hours of credit for ethics/professionalism, and 0 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in civil trial law, criminal trial law, workers compensation law and/or matrimonial law.
