DESCRIPTION

This program will explore the continually evolving world of legal technology and the ethical implications for attorneys. A range of technologies will be introduced and considered including those relevant in the remote work context. In addition, various rules of professional responsibility and formal opinions will be highlighted on the topical area. Further, a series of practical technological hypotheticals will also be introduced and examined to illustrate the practical implications of various technologies.  

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

To recognize and further understand the lawyer's responsibilities of technological competency and the impact of various technologies on this obligation. 

 

CLE CREDITS

PA  | 1.0 Ethics Credits    
This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 0.0 hours of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit and 1.0 hours of ethics, professionalism or substance abuse CLE credit. 

NJ | 1.2 Ethics Credits
This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 1.2 hours of total CLE credit. Of these 1.2 qualify as hours of credit for ethics/professionalism, and 0 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in civil trial law, criminal trial law, workers compensation law and/or matrimonial law.
